Defending Elizabeth

When Elizabeth left, Miss Bingley was saying very rude things about her. Thiss offended me a lot. She told me that i used to think Elizabeth was "rather pretty". I was ver mad when she said this. I replied to her comment by saying, “one of the handsomest women of my acquaintance.”

  1. I flattered Mr. Darcy. But I hope you do not listen to the nonsense that Miss Bingley speaks. She is a grown woman acting like a child. I think she secretly adores you. Which is quite silly if you ask me.

  2. I do not understand what "ver" is. Is that slang for very? Any way, that is good my friend. I can tell that you have taken the high road, and am glad you are acting like a gentelman about things.

  3. You need to realize that Caroline is one of the best women that I have ever met because of how much money she has. She knows how to act in society, and how to point the fakers out. I feel as if Elizabeth is just hanging around all these rich people so that she can have Darcy, but she will soon realize that her social status is not equivalent to that of Darcy's.
